Proactive Ways to Deal with Stress
People bath every day for one simple reason, to clean themselves and not stink. It’s a process they repeat daily, because daily they do things that cause them to stink. If they did not clean themselves daily, it’s not a matter of if, but when it would create a real problem for them. Stress like stink enters into our lives daily and has the potential to create real havoc into our lives, mentally, physically, and emotionally if left to compound in our lives. In this workshop I teach people how to bath the stress in their life. They learn how to turn the on switch of stress off proactively so that they can experience a new level of mental, physical, and emotional well-being and performance.
Stress – Less Parenting
I do not believe you can make parenting stress-free. However, I do believe you can stress-less as a parent and become a more loving, engaging, and effective parent at the same time. In this workshop I give parents the tools and understanding they need to help them reduce everyday parenting stress. Participants learn the causes and effects of daily stress cycles and then how to defuse them using simple mindfulness techniques.
Managing Your Health and Wellness Portfolio ™
Many people spend there whole lives working hard for a chance to retire. They invest and save, work two jobs, and do all they can to manage their financial portfolio. Only to realize when they get to retirement that they have 40 years of deferred maintenance due on their bodies. Now the legs that got them to retirement can’t get them around the golf course and they literally broke their backs getting their. In this workshop participants will learn that creating an HWP™ is just like a financial portfolio; it changes as your life’s priorities change, and the later in life you start to manage it, the harder it is to acquire maximum benefits. The real beauty of having a balanced and active HWP™ is that, unlike your financial retirement portfolio, you get to enjoy it as you build it. You get to enjoy a body that is going to allow you to do more, have more fun doing it and live a life that is better able to deal with stress, as well as enjoying a mind that is able to function at its best.
In this workshop participants will:
– gain an understanding of the tools available to them.
– understand the strengths and weakness of each tool.
– take an inventory of their current HWP™ and address the short comings.
– understand and organize and implement new information.
Mindfulness Without the Monastery
The benefits of mindfulness training and meditation a buzzing in every media outlet. It’s one thing to know something is “good” for you. It’s another thing to incorporate it into your life. This workshop is designed for people who don’t have the time, energy, or interest, to go off on retreat or enter some long 10 week program to find their moment of clarity. We jump right into the hows and whys, debunk myths, set up realistic expectations, and create the support structure that is needed when they return to the “real world”.
